Sweet Mountain Dreams – 3BR: Mountain Retreat w/ Lake Glenville Views, Firepit

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay at Sweet Mountain Dream! The house is very clean and decorated in a mountain style. Kitchen was stocked with nice pots and pans, dishes, flatware and glasses which is nice, because we love to prepare meals together. The wifi (Starlink) and tv were excellent and we were able to work without any connectivity issues. The bedroom on upper level was very comfortable and had a large closet and a beautiful bath. Our doggo was welcome, which makes us all happy! The lower level was great for game night and the fire pit with adirondack chairs was a great place to hang out. Also, a bonus, the house includes trash pick up! We were there over the 4th of July and there was so much to do! Fireworks, trips to the Cashiers Farmers Market, Happ\'s, renting a boat on Lake Glenville, hiking the many surrounding trails and visiting the Whiteside brewery. While this house is not lakefront, it does have a lovely view off of the main level deck and the house is literally around the bend from the public lake access. Sunset views of the lake through the trees was really magical. Also there is a really beautiful fireplace in the main level living room, it was too hot to enjoy an indoor fire during our stay, but I am sure that would be so nice. I would recommend this property. The folks at Highlands Vacation Rentals were amazing! Everyone was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. They were responsive and very nice to work with which I greatly appreciate. Two thumbs up!

The house was tastefully decorated. Open space living area, great basement to hangout in and play games with the family. Nice deck, hard to see the lake due to all the trees but I imagine it's quite breathtaking in the fall and winter. Management company was great! Very responsive to all our questions.

We enjoyed our long weekend stay at this home. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfy. We spent most of our time on the back deck, which was very private and nestled in the trees. We had a view of the lake but did not have direct access, but we were mostly there for the lower temperature (low to mid-seventies) and the peace and quiet. It was our first time staying in the area, and we plan to go back. We loved Happ's Place, a restaurant close by. Highlands Vacation Rentals were great - always very responsive and instructions were clear

This house is absolutely beautiful and you are surrounded by mountains, a pristine lake, and beautiful tall magnificent trees. This home is three stories and has a space for both adults and kids. When you walk into the home, you are met with two stories of absolutely beautiful windows bringing in the full view outside into this beautiful home. The kitchen, dinning room, and living room are a modern open concept and the dinning room easily sits 12 for great family dinners. I loved that there was a gas range and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to create memorable family dinners. The deck outside was great and used often. The beds were the most comfortable sleep I have ever had in any rental home or hotel. Trust me, Seriously comfortable! The master bathroom was beautiful and modern and had an amazing free standing tub which I took full advantage of after a day of hiking and exploring the area. Each level of this home had its own bedroom which allowed for privacy even with my large family. The downstairs was a fun hang out spot, with a popcorn machine, plenty movies and games, and ping pong. You could not ask for a better location of this home! You are only 10 minutes from Cashiers and from the local grocery store as well as local restaurants (you have to try the restaurant Happs, amazing food and atmosphere). This home is literally a 2 minute walk from the public dock which had amazing sunsets, what an incredible view. And the lake!!!! We rented a boat while we stayed at this beautiful home and had the absolute best day of fun, laughter, swimming and sun! The Marina is just minutes away and you can rent boats and kayaks. There is also a hike that is just a few minutes drive where the end of the hike is a beautiful waterfall! There are some many more activities close by including white water rafting, tubing, and a lazy river which we enjoyed on our last day of the vacation. I will definitely be staying at this amazing home again!
