Want to get away from the hectic life? Head to the Britton House in beautiful Highlands, N.C. Nestled at the end of a quiet street, this mountain home is meant for relaxing. Whether you are drinking coffee and admiring the morning sunrise from a front porch rocker, or grilling on the deck and watching a spectacular sunset, this is the place for you. The Britton House features a great room with spectacular views where you can sit by the fire, read a book, or work on a puzzle. And if you want to be connected to the outside world, we have Internet and 2 Fiber TVs. The master bedroom (King) has unimpeded views of the Blue Ridge mountains. The guest room features 2 Twin beds and a pac-n-play portable bed for a baby. You'll love the rhododendron and wildflowers in the Summer and gorgeous leaves in Autumn.
The Britton House is an easy 10- to 15-minute walk into town, where you can enjoy lovely boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.
There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, as well as fishing, white-water rafting, and panning for gems. Come, escape the heat, and revel in the beauty of the Blue Ridge.

*This is an animal friendly (DOGS ONLY) property. Pets must be approved and a pet fee is required.*

[All of the homes managed by Highlands Vacation Rentals have wifi internet access(speeds may vary based on different providers), basic kitchenware & dishes, linens provided, and a starter set of amenities including: 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom + A set of personal shampoo, conditioner, hand & body soap (also per bathroom), 2 paper towel rolls, a few kitchen trash bags, a kitchen sponge, some dish soap and a couple of dishwasher and laundry detergent pods. ]

We absolutely LOVED the Britton House! While some might describe it as "dated," we found it CHARMING with a stunning view off the back deck. And it was so peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen fully ready to setup housekeeping. We had some fun family dinners using the gas grill on the deck. That's a great addition! We plan to return next year for another stay. Please thank the owner for letting us enjoy their special home!

We are completely charmed by your sweet home and its' 4 generations of family memories made here. We can imagine you as a child enjoying the mountains with your grandparents and later your children with theirs. Now we have made memories of our own at the Britton House. Thank you!

We have hiked Whiteside, Sunset, Glen Falls, Chinquapin.Enjoyed the fabulous Chamber Concerts, a wonderful play, movies, great farmers market free concerts on Friday & Saturday , we love CLE and especially enjoyed Route 66 presentation; the Nature Center & Biological center were in their blooming Glory.

We had a great time dining out at Madisons, Wolfgangs, Canyon Kitchens, & Wild Thyme, but our favorite meals were on your deck with the mountains and the forest spread before us. Sunsets made dinner a nightly event.

This is our 6th time here. It's so peaceful! We love the view, the sunsets, walking into town and the quiet street. We know the house is dated but that adds to the appeal.. Britton House is wonderful! The views are unbeatable. It is hard to find something less than a mile from town with those kind of views. Beds are comfortable, A/C works great, well equipped kitchen and great location (although you may not want to walk to town with kids because there is no sidewalk for a portion of the walk).We were there with our 2 small children so it was perfect for us. We will definitely stay again.Easy

Cant say enough about this place. First of all the view is gorgeous and the sunsets are beautiful. A great place to relax and just enjoy life for a while. there are a couple towns to visit nearby and tons and tons of wonderful hikes with beautiful waterfalls . The little town is very easy to walk to and has a lot of interesting shops with great people in the town to help you with anything you may need. The house is exceptionally well stocked. Ive been to many timeshares and never have had anything as well stocked as this. Theres nothing I could need which makes it nice since youre up on the mountains. A well loved home and taken care of. Felt like you were just walking in to housesit for someone for a while -would totally recommend this to anyone for a wonderful vacation. Our 10 days went by way too fast!Was done online so never met anyone. Very efficient and easy to find the place with great directions.

Britton house is charming and the views are what makes this house phenomenal. The house is straight out of the 60s which is nostalgic to some or could be described as dated to others. The Mountain views from the living room, porch and master bedroom are absolutely breathtaking with perfect sunset view. The closeness to town cant be beat. The sunset had us swooning and growing to LOVE this property. 5 stars for value, Cleanliness, location and views!Fast reliable service.

The website prices are very confusing. The girl who attended the phone (NOT Lori) did not seem up to your standards. I told her my dates and she came back with completely different dates. She said it would be hard to walk to town from Britton House. Etc. If I hadn't rented from you before I wouldn't have been impressed. She needs a little more training.Lori is really nice
